Leicestershire CBL was formed by the seven district councils in Leicestershire (excluding Leicester City Council which operates its own CBL scheme) and a large number of Housing Associations to offer the widest choice of social housing to homeseekers and to provide an easier way of being considered for vacant properties as they arise. 

Using this service will provide registered Homeseekers with more choice in deciding where you want to live.  Instead of waiting for an offer of accommodation, you can see which properties will become available and bid for - or express an interest in - suitable homes for yourself. 

Using this website you can:

• Apply for social rented housing in Charnwood and be considered for a selection of social rented homes in other parts of Leicestershire.  To apply to join Charnwood's Housing Register, complete and return the CBL Housing Application Form and if applicable, the CBL Medical & Mobility Form  
• Find more information about Charnwood's CBL scheme in our Homeseekers Guide   
• View Charnwood Borough Council's CBL Allocations Policy 
• Bid for available properties (this option is available to homeseekers who have been accepted onto Charnwood's Housing Register)

If you are interested in moving to a neighbouring council area you will be able to bid for a selection of properties in the rest of Leicestershire.  You can bid for these properties without having to register again with those councils.  To see these properties click on Property Search  at the top of the page and select ‘Leicestershire properties to rent’.

Demand for council and Housing Association properties is much greater than the number of vacancies, so not all homeseekers will be successful in getting a home.  Check on the results of Recent Lets  to find out if you are likely to be successful in the near future.
